Biocientífica celebrates its 40th anniversary!
Our company was founded on a day like today, in 1983. Our origins cannot be separated from our DNA: innovation + commitment to respond to global health needs.
Biocientífica was born from the hand of Dr. Roberto Sedlinsky, through reverse engineering and doing R&D to develop our own portfolio.
In 1983, we began the development and manufacturing of the first immunofluorescence products in Argentina 🇦🇷.
In this way we gave birth to our classic Inmunofluor line, which still preserves its original name today. Inmunofluor’s motto was “handing over the keys to Immunofluorescence”, at a time when there were only 3 (three!) laboratories performing immunofluorescence analysis in the whole country.
The Immunofluor line, which started as reverse engineering to replace imports in the 1980s, today has over 35 products for infectious and autoimmune diseases and is exported to more than 15 countries.
Today, with its own vibrant R&D unit, Biocientífica is positioned as a leader in new developments in molecular diagnostics using bioinformatics and real-time PCR.
Our Schep product portfolio, launched to address the pandemic with the Schep SARS-Cov-2 Duo kits, and later with the Schep SARS-CoV-2 Multi-FAST and Schep SARS-CoV-2 Ómicron BA.1 and BA.2 kits, now shines with new products that address critical public health issues, such as the Schep Dengue Screen and upcoming products for oncology!
